Partnership

At the European Institute for International Law and International Relations, we handle a broad range of subjects with a plural and multidisciplinary approach. Such methodology allows us to achieve create a holistic body of research, which can be used as the blueprint for designing strategies and policy solutions that tackle systemic, current, and future problems.

The work of the EIIR spaces across several different fields:
We are committed to the promotion of international law in all its aspects. The EIIR is a vocal advocate for civil freedoms all peoples, reporting on breaches of human rights by regimes and other organisations throughout the world. Our platform is a powerful tool to give a voice to the struggles of minority groups: ensuring that the conditions of vulnerable individuals are improved stands at the core of achieving a fairer and more just society for everyone.

For this reason, we are devoted to supporting women’s rights and the fight for gender equality, not only through our research but by providing women with forums and opportunities to speak up and engage first-hand in the efforts to build solutions with sound foundations at all levels of society, so that they may last for future generations to enjoy.

To safeguard such future, we dedicate our work and resources to protecting and promoting the rights of children, from the Right to Childhood in the first place to the interconnected net of other factors necessary to ensure their well-being and future opportunities.

With children and next societies in mind, we recognise the importance of tackling the injustices embedded in the current political, economic, legal, and social systems; the EIIR is active in uncovering, analysing, and dismantling systemic discrimination and abusive patterns, ranging from institutional racism to corruption and more.

At the EIIR, we are conscious, furthermore, that such efforts might be put in jeopardy by one of the most pressing global issues of our times: the incumbent threat of climate change and the related social and economic contingencies caused by environmental degradation. The Institute is committed to fostering solutions for environmental protection and environmental justice. We are deeply aware of the urgency of tackling such issues with a multilateral approach; because of that, our work promotes dialogue and elaborates practical suggestions and mechanisms for the improvement of environmental legislation, environmental policy, and the reshaping of the global economy to become sustainable.
We are intently dedicated to reducing or mitigating current, active threats to regional and international peace and security.

In intersection with our commitment to the environment, we work to achieve energy security; the importance of ensuring a continuous and fair energy flow requires that aspects of economic, political, and technological research are taken into account, so that we might explore new ways to cater to our societies’ needs.

To protect the lives of all peoples throughout the world, the EIIR fosters security by taking on global security threats. We are, for instance, dedicated to nuclear deterrence and to the fight against extremism and terrorism, both in their active cells and as doctrinal ideologies that must be stopped from spreading.
Finally, we take direct action on the ground in conflict areas, where the Institute gets directly involved with local and regional actors to support the establishment and continuance of sustainable peacebuilding processes. We foster the initial phases of negotiations and act as mediators when necessary, so that talks might achieve ceasefires, mechanisms for the deliverance of humanitarian aid and, ultimately, sustainable and satisfactory peace agreements that allow for the reconstruction of society. Particularly, the EIIR is currently involved in these efforts in critical current conflicts: we are actively engaging with groups in Yemen, Libya, and Tigray to promote peace and reduce humanitarian suffering.

Our mission is, ultimately, to strengthen civil society and promote international peace.
To accomplish such goal, we are constantly looking to expand our outreach and team up with organisations, firms, and institutions that share our values and objectives, both for singular, specific projects and as stable, long-term partnerships.
